On July 8, Global New Materials International Holdings Limited (06616.HK) received the ‘Best ESG Performance Award’ at 2023 China Finance Awards ceremony. This accolade marks the recognition of the company’s commitment and achievements in environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards by the industry.

This July witnesses a group of passionate and energetic new members joining GNMI. The arrival of these new graduates injected new energy into the company. To help them blend into the company’s culture as soon as possible and learn relevant product information, GNMI held a 5-day systematic training for new employees starting from 1st July.

On 27 June, Ms. Deng Juanjuan, standing member of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and Director of United Front Work Department of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and deputy secretary of the leading Party members group of Liuzhou Committee of the CPPCC, led a team to visit GNMI to carry out research work themed under enhancing real economy to boost high-quality growth. Mr. Zhou Fangchao, vice-president of GNMI greeted them with a warm welcome on behalf of the company.

On 26 June, Chen Zuo, vice-secretary of Guangdong Plastics Industry Association and general secretary of the Coordination and Innovation Professional Committee, Shen Youliang, executive secretary general of the Coordination and Innovation Professional Committee, together with senior executives and technological experts from over 20 companies visited GNMI for technical exchanges.

Recently, Mr. LIM Kwang Su, vice president and CTO of GNMI and representative director of CQV, won the Chungbuk SME Entrepreneur Award by the local Department of SMEs and Starups of Chungbuk. The award is not only an acknowledgement of Mr. LIM’s excellence in business management and strategic planning, but also a symbol of CQV’s significant potential and growing influence in the global market.

On 26 May, the opening ceremony of the Shenzhen office of Global New Material International (GNMI) was held in Shenzhen. The event was attended by Lai Jianhua, member of the standing committee of the Luohu District Party Committee and director of District Committee (government) Office, Su Ertian, Chairman of the Board and CEO of GNMI, Tong Xing, Director of Enterprise Service Center of Luohu District and Wang Xiaoming, Deputy-director of the center, Chen Yongping, general manager of Shenzhen Luohu Investment Holdings Co.,Ltd., Xia Yu, Chairman of Shenzhen Boyue International Investment Fund Co.,Ltd., Zhou Fangchao and Jin Zengqin, Executive Director and Vice President of GNMI, Thomas Mak, Chief Finance Officer of GNMI, Su Zhile, General Manager of Jiangsu SuChuan Technology Co., Ltd., representatives of client companies, representatives from financial institutions including banks and securities, partners and employee representatives. On April 25, permanent member of Liuzhou Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor Zhang Guoliang, together with vice mayor Lu Liuping and Wang Honghu, carried out a strategic study on emerging industries at GNMI. They were joined by Secretary of Luzhai County Party Committee Wang Yi and several other senior officials. On April 18, Han Jinduo, director of the Science and Technology Industry Division of Shanghai Institute of Silicate, Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Global New Material International for research, and had a discussion and exchange with leaders such as Zhou Fangchao, executive director and vice president of Global New Material International and Jin Zengqin and other leaders on industry-universal-research cooperation.

During the four-day Sanyuesan holiday, a traditional festival celebrated in Guangxi, many people enjoyed their leisure time comfortably. However, employees from production, R&D, and sales department of GNMI still stayed at their posts. They celebrated the festival with their devotion to their job, and worked in full swing with a firm belief in mind to strive for the achievement of the company’s annual targets.

In February 2024, the Phase II pearlescent material factory of Chesir was officially put into operation, marking the beginning of a whole new chapter in the company’s development. On 8 April, GNMI Chairman of the Board and CEO Mr. Su Ertian paid a visit to Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences with his team. They had an informal discussion with Mr. Shi Xun, deputy director of the institute, Mr. Han Jinduo, director of Industrialization Department, and relevant research teams. GNMI executive director and vice president Mr. Zhou Fangchao, Mr. Jin Zengqin, and director of Chesir Synthetic Mica Research Center Mr. Pan Zhixiong were also present.
