“In our first year, we proved that SUSONITY can stand firm. In our second year, we must prove that we can run.”
“In our first year, we proved that SUSONITY can stand firm. In our second year, we must advance more steadily, grow stronger, and reach further.”
——Su Ertian, Chairman and CEO of GNMI
On 13 August 2026, SUSONITY, a subsidiary of Global New Material International (06616.HK), held a staff event in Germany to mark its first anniversary of global synergy after acquisition. Su Ertian, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Global New Material International, delivered a speech via video. SUSONITY’s global management teams from Commercial, Innovation & Application, Supply Chain and other functions jointly reviewed the past year’s progress and held discussions with frontline employees.

This anniversary event serves both as a comprehensive review of the smooth transition and synergistic progress following the closing of the acquisition, and as a renewed mobilization for the growth objectives of the next phase. For Global New Material International, the completion of the merger and acquisition is not the end goal; rather, ensuring more robust operations, the effective implementation of synergies, and the continuous translation of innovation into tangible results are the key metrics for measuring value creation on a global scale.
Since the completion of closing on July 31, 2025, the Group has been advancing integration across five key areas—marketing, production and quality, procurement and supply chain, R&D and technology, and human resources—while respecting the legacy of the SUSONITY brand, its customer relationships, and its professional team. In just one year, the focus of the integration has gradually shifted from “ensuring business continuity” to “unleashing synergy value.”
| Business Continuity Stable integration of global production, supply, and customer service | Synergy Implementation Orderly progress of cross-brand synergy and cross-selling | Enhanced Capabilities Continuous improvement of innovation platforms and service networks in emerging markets |

02|One-Year Integration Review: Holding Stable on Three Fronts While Driving Growth in Three Areas
The quality of a merger and acquisition integration is not measured by the number of slogans, but by whether the business remains stable, whether customers continue to receive value, whether the team is willing to move forward together, and whether synergies can be translated into orders, innovation, and growth. On the occasion of the first anniversary, achievements can be summarized as “holding stable on three fronts and driving growth in three areas”.
Holding Stable on Three Fronts
Stabilizing Operations | Production facilities in Germany, the United States, and Japan continue to operate stably and efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition in production, supply, and market operations following the closing of acquisition. The Group is simultaneously aligning quality, safety, compliance, and sustainability requirements to ensure that global operations are built on a consistent and traceable management foundation.
Stabilizing Customers | Core customer relationships remain stable, and customer interactions and brand commitments are being upheld; leveraging the professional services of local teams and the synergized support of the Group’s global network, efforts to respond to customer needs, deliver samples, and obtain product certifications are continuously progressing across multiple regions.
Stabilizing Teams|Company operational data shows that the global workforce has seen net growth compared to pre-merger levels. Through two rounds of cross-regional visits, ongoing communication among management, and a delegation mechanism that respects professional judgment, teams from different markets and cultural backgrounds have gradually developed a common language.
Driving Growth in Three Areas
Growing Synergy | The first batch of regional synergized orders has been finalized, and cross-selling of products such as natural mica and synthetic mica is proceeding smoothly. While maintaining the respective brand identities and areas of expertise, SUSONITY, CHESIR, and CQV have begun working together to serve global customers with a more comprehensive product portfolio.
Growing Innovation | Following the opening of Innovation and the Application Center in Frankfurt, regional centers in Germany, the United States, Japan, and China have further strengthened their synergistic R&D and application support. The STELLA concept banknote, jointly developed by SUSONITY as a member of the project team, won the “Best New House Note” award at the 2026 IACA Excellence in Currency Awards, demonstrating the innovative application capabilities of effect materials in the field of high-security printing.
Growing Footprint|With the establishment of a branch in India, the company has added a local foothold in emerging markets; the Group’s manufacturing, R&D, and application network spanning Asia, Europe, and North America has been further integrated, forming a multi-node layout that spans from technology R&D and large-scale manufacturing to customer-centered application services.
03|Su Ertian’s Video Address: Joint Creation, Rather than Simple Assimilation
In his video address, Su Ertian first expressed his gratitude to employees worldwide for their efforts over the past year in ensuring safe production, consistent quality, reliable delivery, and customer trust. He noted that SUSONITY’s long-standing achievements in technology, customer relations, quality, and brand reputation form a crucial foundation for Global New Material International’s globalization capabilities and serve as the starting point for the Group’s continued investment and joint value creation.
“Joint creation, rather than simple assimilation” does not imply lowering the bar for synergy, but rather avoiding the replacement of professional strengths with simple assimilation: under a shared strategy, governance standards, and long-term goals, we respect regional differences and the teams that best understand customers and processes, allowing professional judgment and global resources to mutually reinforce one another. The Group will continue to refine its delegation and synergy mechanisms to provide resource support for SUSONITY’s ongoing innovation, customer service, and talent development.
Based on this philosophy, Global New Material International will drive SUSONITY, CHESIR, and CQV to deepen their synergy while maintaining brand independence and market recognition, thereby forming a global brand matrix of mutually independent entities with complementary strengths. The goal of integration is not to make different teams identical, but to enable their respective strengths to generate greater customer value on a shared platform.
04|Year Two: Following the Compass from Standing Firm to Running
Looking ahead to the next five years, Su Ertian has proposed the Compass strategy, which sets a clear direction for SUSONITY’s next phase of development through four strategic pillars:
- · Customer-Driven Innovation|Drawing on real-world application scenarios to enhance insight into demands, collaborative development, and response efficiency.
- · Innovation-Driven Growth|Accelerate the transformation of technological achievements into scalable products and solutions, and expand high-value-added applications.
- · Global Synergy on Efficiency Improvement|Promoting coordination across multiple nodes—including R&D, manufacturing, the supply chain, marketing, and services—to bring global resources closer to regional customers.
- · Quality, Sustainability, and Trust|Build sustainable competitiveness through consistent quality, compliant operations, and a long-term perspective.
These four pillars span the entire value chain—from R&D and production to marketing and service. Entering the second year, the team needs to translate customer needs into validated results more quickly, transform the global technology portfolio into localized solutions more rapidly, turn synergy projects into scalable growth more efficiently, and embed the established integration mechanisms into the day-to-day organizational capabilities.
“In our first year, we proved that SUSONITY can stand firm. In our second year, we must prove that we can run.”
Standing firm is a testament to our resilience in M&A integration; moving forward means driving growth through faster innovation, stronger synergy, and closer customer engagement. Looking ahead, Global New Material International will continue to strengthen its global capabilities through long-term investment, respond to diverse market demands with high-quality and sustainable solutions, and work hand in hand with customers, employees, and partners to continuously transform synergistic value into tangible, sustainable growth.
SUSONITY will also continue to uphold its brand proposition, “Beyond Effects. Infinite Possibilities”, using innovative materials to unlock new applications and working with global partners to expand the possibilities of surface solutions.
