[Company News] On December 2nd, Jin Chengtao, Member of Communist Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, led a delegation to visit the 100,000-ton synthetic mica production project of Global New Material International in Tonglu. Jin Zengqin, Managing Director and Vice President of Global New Material International, accompanied the entire visit and gave a precise report on the project’s progress, GNMI’s development strategy and other core contents.

The visiting delegation went deep into the construction site of the project, inspected key links such as the completion of the factory building and the installation and commissioning of equipment on the spot, and learned in detail about various situations in the process of project advancement. During the visit, Jin Zengqin comprehensively introduced the development history, project construction planning, product system layout and expected capacity and output value, and combined with the enterprise’s business practice, elaborated in depth on the significance and practical path of high-quality development of the new materials industry, demonstrating the firm determination and professional strength of GNMI to deeply engage in the new materials field.
As the “cornerstone” of GNMI’s international global supply chain and the core carrier for building an integrated global platform of “synthetic mica – pearlescent materials – surface functional materials”, the 100,000-ton synthetic mica production project in Tonglu has now entered a critical stage. At present, five main workshops of the project, including production and R&D plants and equipment rooms, have passed the individual acceptance smoothly. GNMI’s self-developed mica high-efficiency filter press system, raw material feeding and dust removal system and other domestic first-of-a-kind equipment are being installed and debugged in an orderly manner, and the project construction is in full swing. After its commissioning, the project will achieve a leapfrog increase in production capacity. In the future, it will provide a stable and reliable supply of core raw materials for downstream fields such as automotive coatings, new energy, and cosmetics, and contribute to the upgrading and development of related industries.

During the research activity, Deputy Mayor Jin Chengtao gave full recognition to the “global efficiency” demonstrated by the project construction and the “Tonglu warmth” behind it. He stressed that the Global New Material International’s Tonglu project, as a key carrier for the development of Hangzhou’s new materials industry, is highly in line with the requirements of Zhejiang Province’s “415X” advanced manufacturing cluster construction. The new materials industry is the core cornerstone supporting the development of high-end manufacturing and new quality productivity. Enterprises must always strictly adhere to safety and quality, take the research and development center as an important carrier, continuously strengthen core technology research and development, and constantly enhance the competitiveness of products and industrial influence.
Jin Zengqin said GNMI will further accelerate the commissioning of equipment and preparations for production, spare no effort to push the project to take effect, and strive to achieve the core goal of “stable operation, production and quick benefits” as soon as possible, and contribute more to Hangzhou’s efforts to build a strong advanced manufacturing city and Tonglu’s construction of a hundred-billion-yuan new materials industry chain.
